In knapp zwei Wochen jährt sich Elvis Presley's Todestag zum 39.Mal. Eine gute Gelegenheit mit einem Lied daran zu erinnern. Keine Angst es ist NICHT "Love me tender" :-) und ich spiele weder Gitarre noch singe ich

In two weeks there will be the 39.anniversary of Elvis Presley's death - a good oportunity to play a song on my blues harp. And it is not the often covered "Love me tender" :-) I did it my own way and "Loving You" was more inspiration than a cover

Song of today is "Jarabe Tapatio" and "La cucaracha" - former song is better known as "Mexican Hat Dance". Since I was not familiar with the second part of this song, I simply replaced it with another popular song from Mexico "La cucaracha". This is called "Artistic freedom" - purists would call it rather bungling, but who cares for purists?!

Song des Tages ist heute "Jarabe Tapatio" bzw. "La cucaracha" - ersteres Lied ist im deutschsprachigen Raum besser als der "Mexikanische Huttanz" bekannt. Da mir der zweite Teil dieses Liedes nicht mehr geläufig war, habe ich ihn einfach durch das mindestens genauso populäre "La cucaracha" ersetzt. "Künstlerische Freiheit" nennt man wohl so etwas - Puristen nennen es wohl eher Stümperei, aber was kümmern mich Puristen?!

In order to protect the nerves of my neighbours and to prevend a nervous breakdown on their side I decided to busk in Berlin. I think it is a good idea to write bi-lingual on this otherwise exclusively german website because people asked me for my website and many of them were disappointed that it was exclusivly in german. Nicht nur zur Schonung meiner Nachbarn habe ich meine musikalischen Aktivitäten außerhalb meiner vier Wände nach "draußen" verlegt, auch um mein Repertoire zu pflegen und eine Alternative zu "Club"-Auftritten zu haben, spiele ich "Straßenmusik".
